The 2011 SEMA Show is quickly approaching, and everyone here at Superior Kia couldn't be more thrilled. Following the impressive entry into the world of auto racing last year, via the popular Kia Forte Koup racer, we're eagerly awaiting the South Korean automaker's next performance-tuned variant. Known as the B-Spec Kia Rio5, it's set to debut on November 1st, though a teaser image is already making its way around the Web.
Explaining why Kia decided to endeavor on yet another Rio5 variant, Michael Sprague of KMA says, "We have a unique opportunity to introduce Kia to a new and passionate racing community by providing an affordable and great-looking race car that delivers best-in-class horsepower in the rapidly expanding B-segment,"1. All Superior Kia can say in response is, carpe diem!
Unfortunately, Kia has not divulged much in the way of details or specs. In the teaser image, we were able to see a B-Spec Kia Rio5 sporting a brilliant white and red paint job and Kinetic Motorsports graphics. And, the graphics are no surprise, as Kinetic Motorsports did play a large role in the vehicle's development.

Other confirmed upgrades to the B-Spec Kia Rio5 include a competition roll cage, safety equipment and suspension components. Of course, we can't help but speculate what other changes may be in store of the current 2012 Kia Rio5, and its 1.6-liter 4-cylinder, GDI engine. If we had to take a guess we'd say that perhaps we'll see a boost to its standard horsepower, which right now stands at 138-hp. What do you think?
